DHCR & RPIE Advisory Solutions
Dear Clients,
For NYS rent-regulated buildings, HCR's Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) 2022 Annual Rent Registrations period began on April 1 and ends on July 31, 2022. The annual registrations must reflect the status of the buildings and apartments on April 1, 2022. DHCR has strengthened its filing requirements to meet the provision of the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019. Additionally, DHCR now requires annual rent registrations to be submitted online and for tenants to be sent a copy of their apartment registrations notice.
Additionally, the deadline to file the required Real Property Income and Expense (RPIE-2021) Statement with the Department of Finance is June 1.
STRATCO rent-regulatory experts can deliver a 4-day guaranteed turnaround report outlining complex rent regulatory guidelines with the legal rent increases which provide owners with the necessary due diligence at any level of an asset cycle.
